Recycling just got compulsory!
You've probably received Lambeth's booklet on the new recycling and rubbish services. From April 4 we all have to put our bins on the street by 6 am on collection day and replace them ourselves. Plus we have to recycle everything possible in the orange bags. More items can now be included eg yoghurt pots and margarine tubs. And you will need a permit (£25 a year) for garden waste collection. This seems pretty draconian though I know recycling needs to increase. I do like the increased range of items for the orange bags.
